Debbie joined The Lung Association’s National Office – the Canadian Lung Association - in 2002. Her involvement in tobacco control began in 2006 when she took on the role of Manager of Health Initiatives. Previously, Debbie held a number of Manager and Director positions throughout a 21 year career in the telecommunications industry, including Business Development, Product Development, Program Management and Marketing. In her move from telecommunications to the not-for-profit sector Debbie first served as Executive Director of an Ottawa-based organization providing residential care and programming for the disabled, then as Administrator of a busy church before joining the Canadian Lung Association. In addition to various management and marketing courses, Debbie holds a certificate in Theology from St. Paul University in Ottawa.
