Lisa Petermann
Lisa Petermann has a PhD in medical history, and has been actively engaged in health-based research for nearly 10 years. Originally trained as a scientist, Lisa has exceptional knowledge translation and exchange abilities, which have allowed her to engage broad groups of stakeholders in both strategic planning and project execution across the cancer and chronic disease prevention spectrum. Dr. Petermann is an active member of the Alberta Policy Coalition for Cancer Prevention, including both the active living working group and the tobacco control working group. Presently, Lisa is a Program Manager for the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer where she is chiefly responsible for the design and implementation of a national health policy database for monitoring shifts in policy, legislation, and regulation related to the modifiable risk factors for cancer and chronic disease. Prior to join the Partnership Lisa held post in both the not-for-profit (National Cancer Institute of Canada) and government (Alberta Cancer Board) sectors.
