The Canadian Council for Tobacco Control recognizes that action on tobacco issues requires a strong and effective tobacco control movement that enables health advocates at the local, provincial, territorial and national levels to work together to diminish the adverse impact to the health of Canadians caused by tobacco industry products.

We are committed to the timely and practical transfer of critical knowledge and skill development for effective action on tobacco issues.

To achieve this, the CCTC acts as a knowledge broker to

  • Bring people and organizations together;
  • Link key players and decision makers;
  • Ensure timely and practical transfer of critical knowledge and skills; and
  • Support, promote and further a comprehensive approach to tobacco control in order to protect and improve the health of Canadians.
